Zinebook February 2026

The first Zinebook event wrapped up last weekend on February 7th and the NASH Illustrators were out in force! Huge thanks to the Free Nashville Poetry Library (FNPL) for offering the space and to our very own Illustrious Sanguine for organizing it!

The Packing Plant was a wonderful venue to hold our event. There are galleries mixed throughout the space with work in every visual medium. We were able to set up shop upstairs and had a very nice traffic flow throughout the event duration. As a part of the Wedgewood-Houston art crawl circuit, we were able to meet a bunch of new and old friends, people in our community, and those curious what artists are capable of.

Zinebook Event February 2026

The Illustrious Sanguine had these reflections to share on the event:

“Organizing my first-ever event as Zine Librarian at the Free Nashville Poetry Library, I was convinced my friends at the FNPL would hate me for putting together something so last-minute and my friends in the Nash Illustrators would hate me for convincing them to show up to a dull, lifeless event. Thankfully, neither possibility became an actuality. One of my favorite things is to watch interesting people discover other interesting people, and I saw it happen over and over: my fellow Illustration major Caroline met my former Illustration Portfolio professor, Tina wound up in extended conversation with a comic-con nerd, and I ran into some friends of an esteemed mentor of mine. We even all managed to get some sales in by the end of the night, in a relatively slow month for these kinds of events.”

Check out the works of the artists shown at the event – I am sure you’ll find a new favorite!
